Fields of vision is a photographic series that seeks to recreate the watchful gaze characteristic of military activity. The images present Colombian Air Force aircraft in full flight, caught by the photographer’s lens. Indeed, the camera, positioned at ground level, hidden and camouflaged among the vegetation, captures the movement of helicopters, spy planes, and combat aircraft as they fly over the national territory. In this way, the work is imbued with an eminently political meaning, where the military apparatus is both documented and conceptually neutralized by a stalking camera and the power of the image.
